Our Meeting is a group of individuals and families who, from our various origins and backgrounds, have been drawn to the practice of silent worship after the manner of Friends. There are South Bend Friends from all stages of life. Some of us are lifelong Quakers. Others have only just found our way into Quaker worship. Our religious beliefs are varied, but we are united in the joyful sense of discovery and of communion that we find in silent Quaker worship.
--Matthew Bell, Member of South Bend Friends Meeting
Fairly often we have a potluck together. Sometimes this is to hear a member talk with us about how their Quaker faith has influenced their work in the world. At other times to celebrate a new member joining our Meeting. At other times, just for fellowship together. Our ages range from small babies to people in their late seventies, and all inbetween. And yet, we are a small group.
